Ayurvedic Piles
in Bhubaneswar
Kshar Sutra, Kshar Karma and herbal care by an Ayurvedic specialist. No major surgery, same-day discharge, and most people are back at work in 2–3 days.
Gentle, Proven, Private
Let’s be honest — piles is one of those problems nobody wants to talk about. Most of our patients waited months, sometimes years, before walking in. They tried creams, changed their diet, searched late at night, and kept hoping it would go away on its own. If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place. At Srigram Ayurveda in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar, we treat piles (Arsha) using classical Ayurvedic methods — herbal medicines, Kshar Karma and Kshar Sutra, Basti — that have been used for centuries and are now studied in modern research. Most patients avoid a major operation, go home the same day, and get back to work within a few days.
Do these symptoms sound familiar?
- Bright red blood on the toilet paper or in the pan after passing stool
- A soft lump near the anus that comes out while straining
- Itching, burning or a constant feeling of wetness
- Pain while sitting — especially on long bike rides or office chairs
- A feeling that your bowel hasn’t fully emptied
One important note: bleeding from the back passage isn’t always piles. It can also come from a fissure, fistula or, rarely, something more serious. That’s why every treatment at our clinic starts with a proper examination, never a guess.
Why piles is so common in Bhubaneswar
We see it every week. Long hours at desks in Patia, Infocity and Chandrasekharpur. Daily two-wheeler commutes on bumpy roads. Spicy, oily food and not enough water in Odisha’s hot, humid months. Add constipation and straining, and the veins around the anus slowly swell.
How we treat piles — without a big operation
Your treatment depends on the grade of piles, not a fixed package. Here’s what that looks like:
1. Herbal medicines and diet (Grade 1 and early Grade 2) For early piles, medicine is often enough. We prescribe classical formulations such as Triphala Guggulu or Kanchanar Guggulu, along with a simple diet plan you can actually follow at home — no foreign foods, just changes to your daily dal, rice, sabzi and water intake. Warm sitz baths help ease pain and swelling.
2. Kshar Karma — herbal cauterisation (Grade 1–2 internal piles) A medicated alkaline herbal paste is applied directly on the pile mass for a few minutes. It shrinks the pile from the inside. There’s no cutting, it takes under half an hour, and you go home the same day.
3. Kshar Sutra — the medicated thread (Grade 2–4 piles) This is the procedure Ayurveda is best known for. A thread coated with herbal alkalis is tied at the base of the pile under local anaesthesia. Over 7–10 days, the pile dries up and falls off on its own, usually while passing stool. Most people walk out the same day and return to desk work within 2–3 days.
4. When surgery is the right answer We’ll tell you honestly if your case needs a surgeon. Very large, thrombosed or complicated piles sometimes do — and we’d rather refer you than promise something we can’t deliver.
